“Since most diseases are a consequence of consuming foods which lack adequate nutrition, surely the cure would be the opposite.”

Here at Robbins Natural Health, we have a motto: We don’t like to guess. Before accurate and life changing recommendations can be made, an evaluation must be completed to determine the cause of one’s health issues. To treat symptoms without addressing causes is like cutting the wires to a fire alarm and thinking that the fire is out simply because the alarm is no longer sounding. Based on each person’s situation, appropriate and necessary diagnostic tests will be performed from which the most effective and cost efficient course of treatment will be determined.

Once the recommended tests are performed, a complete report of findings is given, along with written recommendations. Test results are always covered in detail with our patients so that they understand both the source of their problems and why recommendations the that are given are necessary. Of course, any current medical testing that you have already had done will be considered and not repeated.

A case history is a vital part of the evaluation of any patient, and is a face to face (or if on phone, voice to voice) doctor to patient, information gathering session. It is by this method the doctor can best determine which tests would be most appropriate for each person’s situation, avoiding unnecessary tests. A case history also gives the doctor vital information relative to one’s health that cannot be measured by a test. Ultimately, a case history is designed to find root causes and therefore render the most effective treatment plan possible.
Nothing replaces a “hands-on look” of the patient by the doctor. Valuable information is gained by this method, giving the doctor additional information, thereby helping move the doctor into the best direction to help the patient. As appropriate, physical, orthopedic, neurological, gynecological, etc. exams are performed.

Blood tests have been used for years for both routine and specialized health evaluation. As time goes on, more and more blood tests have become available which give better insight into the cause, diagnosis, and needed treatment for health problems. At Robbins Natural Health we do not automatically perform a standard battery of blood tests; rather, only tests which will give the most information specific to a patient are ordered. Some of the blood tests we utilize include:

  • nutritional levels
  • complete blood counts (red and white blood cell evaluation)
  • blood salts and minerals
  • cardiovascular (cholesterols and beyond)
  • hormones
  • liver and kidney
  • allergies
  • iron levels
  • various disease and tumor markers
  • prostate
  • inflammatory conditions
  • blood sugar issues
  • genetic tendency for Alzheimer’s Disease
This test measures vitamins, minerals, amino acids, antioxidant, and immune viability levels.  Short of taking a biopsy of body cells and analyzing them for nutrient content, this is the most accurate way of evaluating nutrient levels in the body. Blood is obtained in the usual manner, which is sent to Spectracell Laboratories, where they analyze the nutrient levels of the white blood cells as these equate the general nutrient levels of the body. The results provide a very comprehensive study of the body’s nutritional status.

Using blood and/or saliva, the various hormones of the body can be measured. Should imbalances be found, natural means are used to bring these physiological messengers into balance. Forms of treatment for hormonal issues can include diet, food supplements, or natural hormone therapy. The hormones most commonly evaluated are:

  • thyroid
  • male
  • female
  • cortisol (adrenal)

Environmental, airborne and food allergies are more prevalent than most people realize, and there are numerous manifestations and degrees of reactions, some even escaping the notice of the patient—referred to as “silent allergies.” As needed, allergies are tested via blood, urine, or electromagnetically.

Treatment is rendered with the intent of overcoming and reversing the allergies, not just controlling them.

Neurotransmitters are often referred to as “brain chemicals,” although they reach beyond the brain influencing virtually every aspect of physiology—from clarity of thought and emotions, to hormones and immunity. Should one or more of the neurotransmitters get out of balance, a “chemical imbalance” results which can manifest as mild to serious mental, emotional, and/or physical problems. The tragic part about neurotransmitters is that if they are out of balance and not addressed, many other efforts to treat various conditions are not as effective, and sometimes not effective at all. Treatment of any determined neurotransmitter imbalances is through natural means.

Some of the problems that have been associated with neurotransmitter imbalances include:

  • fatigue
  • depression
  • anxiety
  • feeling stressed
  • autism
  • insomnia
  • poor appetite control
  • addictions
  • compulsive behaviors
  • fibromyalgia
  • lowered ability to focus and concentrate
  • irritability, hostility, agitation
  • weight issues
  • hormone problems
  • immune system imbalances
As appropriate, X-Rays, MRI, CT scans, etc. will be ordered and evaluated by qualified radiologists.

A thermograph is a time-tested, medical test that measures heat variances present in the body. An area that exhibits an increased heat reading, usually indicates that area, or body part, is under distress, from which either appropriate additional testing would be warranted, or a course of treatment could be determined.

A Thermograph is not limited to any particular area of the body, but suspect areas can be zeroed in on, as appropriate, to check for abnormalities. For example, some women prefer a thermograph over a mammogram because a thermograph does not apply any mechanical pressure to the breasts, nor is any radiation used. Cancer cannot be diagnosed by either mammograms or thermographs, but the possibility of its presence can be determined in the very early stages, in which case, further testing would be recommended.

Based on the discovery by scientists some 60 years ago, that our bodies are primarily electronic in function, German researchers developed the technology that takes very sensitive electro-magnetic readings from the body, measuring for numerous abnormalities.  This non-invasive testing is painless and low cost relative to all the things it is used to evaluate.

The computer is programmed with frequencies of normal tissues/organs and glands.  These frequencies are compared to those of the patient’s body. If a tissue has a frequency, or energy level, that is different than a normal reading, the computer records that and reveals the area that needs attention.

This form of evaluation can also provide insight as to the possibility of:

  • food allergies (one can have “silent allergies, i.e., these foods do not give any specific symptom, but rob energy from the body whenever consumed)
  • environmental allergies
  • nutrient deficits
  • heavy metal poisoning
  • chemical toxicity
  • infections
  • parasites
  • stressed glands, organs, and systems

Because this form of testing has only been partially approved by the FDA (but has been around for many years), an actual diagnosis cannot be made; however, it does give valuable guidance and direction in the evaluation of one’s health.
